Of course I want one! Who doesn't?
But I just bought my iPod 20GB and - unfortunately - there would be no excuse for buying the new one.

Oddly, I have no desire to own one of these. Shocking, I know, since I normally automatically lust after anything Apple produces. But I've never figured out how to make the iPod I do have useful to me, so I've kinda lost interest.
Odd when you consider that my Walkman and I were inseparable back in the day . . .

I still don't want one, but i have to admit, the first time I laid eyes on an actual one and got to hold it, I had to remind myself that I Have No Use For This Item before the momentary ooh-shiny lust passed.

The kicker?
Of all people, my mother is going to get one (for herself, for her birthday). Now I've got the old fossil 60 GB portable color hard drive while she'll have the sleek, sleek 4 GB solid state sliver of digitized stereophonics.
Oh well. Maybe I can borrow it on occasion.
