a blab by idle

I have asked people in email, asked people in the office, asked people giving me rides. I've posted on notesfiles. I've even posted on craigslist!

It would, however, seem that I cannot give away a ticket — free of charge — to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to hear a performance of perhaps the finest piece of music ever written (IMNSHO): Brahms' 4th.

It's even a good seat, at that.

I don't know why this irks me so, but it does.

Due to a major network change at my Chicago network site, I'd completely lost all mail and web hosting capabilities for most of my domains. That has now been resolved with an actual hosting provider; mail and blog services are back up and running. I will be finishing migrations and updates in the days to come.

I managed to get the books sidebar running today fairly quickly and easily, thanks to the amazing cleanliness of MTAmazon and BookQueueToo and the awesome support of Aster. It's still in just its first revision, but it gives me something to work with.

Now I just have to find the time to read some more, I suppose.

Yukino has mentioned that my TypeKey registration appears to be broken, but I'm having trouble confirming this. I've made two different changes lately: moving to an ISP and adding SpamLookup. Either could have broken this. If you could help me out by trying to comment, either with TypeKey or without, I'd appreciate it; if it fails to work, an email with a bug report would be most handy.
